Submission Process for MCA Member Shows
Calls to Artists: MCA will issue Calls to Artists 60 days prior to the deadline for submission. Calls will be issued through a targeted email to all members and through media releases. Artists may also visit mcaocala.com to learn of upcoming shows.
Media: MCA’s shows are open to any media including, but by no means limited to traditional drawing, glass, printmaking, digital/new media, photography, sculpture, painting, installation, etc.
Submission Deadline: Submissions are indicated in the Calls to Artists, typically the last week of the month. Artists should include artist statement and resume.
Submission Format: MCA has two methods of submissions. Artists may bring up to three pieces of art for review by the Art Gallery Director or entries may be submitted digitally via CD. Images must be saved as JPEGS at 72 dpi. Additionally, images should not be longer than 900 pixels in any direction. Please include no more than 3 images. Please clearly label the CD with your name, address, phone number, and email address and include image list with size, title and medium. CD’s will not be returned.

All 3D work must be assembled, by the artist, prior to the Artists’ Reception. We reserve the right to reject work for the exhibition that differs significantly from the submitted images and/or for craft issues.
Liability: MCA’s Gallery Director will take great care in handling artworks for exhibition. MCA is not liable for any damage that may occur.

Post Show Pick Up: Accepted artwork must remain in the Gallery through the designated end of the show and must be picked up by the date established by the Gallery Director.
Exhibition Selection Process: Selection of work is at the discretion of the Gallery Director. Artists will be notified in person, or if submission is via CD, electronically.
