2017 Sponsorship Opportunities
MCA created Ride for the Arts in 2015, combining the burgeoning sport of cycling with an art experience for a unique event that took both elements to a new level. The ride highlights two of the best assets of Ocala/Marion County, as cyclists travel through the unparalleled natural beauty of Marion County’s picturesque horse country.
An Invitation to Sponsor Ride for the Arts Gran Fondo 2017
Dear Fellow Business Leaders,
I am so pleased to invite you to join us as a sponsor for Marion Cultural Alliance’s (MCA) 3rd Annual Ride for the Arts, a Gran Fondo* added in 2017. Our Gran Fondo is one of the first in Florida and is enthusiastically sought after by cyclists, due to the competitive timed segments. To generate even more interest, we will award $2,000 total cash – equally to men and women – 10 deep.
The event has routes for all levels of ability. Cyclists may choose from a 15-mile, 38-mile or the Gran Fondo, which is 68-100 miles in length. All cyclists will have an amazing experience, beginning in historic downtown Ocala and winding through beautiful landscape, punctuated by its famous rolling hills and horse farms. Participants and guests will enjoy live entertainment, see Plein air artists, win terrific door prizes, and wander through the Vendor Village, where equipment and memoirs can be purchased.
And in the spirit of our recognition as Horse Capital of the World here in Ocala/Marion County, we are inviting our riders to don an equine-themed costume, representative of Horse Fever – which is one of Marion Cultural Alliance’s most public art projects. We can’t wait to see what the riders wear!
Marion Cultural Alliance is joining forces with DINGO, Race Productions, to professionally stage and manage the timed segments of the event. About Applaud the Arts
For eight years, MCA has honored and celebrated the arts with Saluting the Arts. In 2016, the event was renamed Applaud the Arts and it is with inspired energy that we request your support for the 2017 event.
Join us as we share the fantastic story of Ocala’s creative community in the newly restored and state-of-the-art historic venue, the Reilly Arts Center in Tuscawilla Park.
MCA began with Horse Fever in 2001 and has continued for 15 years, supporting every genre of local talent with public art, a gallery, advocacy, and funding including Cultural Grants totaling $250,000. It’s time to up our game showcasing the talent and local arts organizations and we can only do so with your help.

Benefits include acknowledgement on all social media posts, banner signage throughout the month of the exhibit, speaking opportunities during the Artists’ Reception, the opening event of the exhibit.
