The First Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Ocala Friday, March 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. Art Walk is a FREE event and takes (See more) place the Friday of each month from September through May. Located within Ocala’s historic downtown, event festivities include artist displays, live entertainment, free family art activities and extended shopping hours. #shoplocal

March includes these special performances and activities.

6 - 9 p.m.: Live music by Stephen Lopez on the Square.

7 p.m.: Contemporary Dance performance by West Port High School MCCA Dance Program on the downtown square.

8 p.m.: Belly dancing performance by The Cairo Dancers.

6-9:00 p.m. Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Karate America Ocala - ATA, Animis Foundation, the Marion County Public Library System, the Discovery Center, Hospice of Marion County, Inc. and Interfaith Emergency Services will provide free, hands-on art activities for all ages on the square.

Additional art activities will be provided at Ocala Homes and Farms Realty, 108 E Fort King St.

Local artists will be working throughout the event creating works of art, live portrait art on-site, live caricatures and local musicians will be playing with in the Art Walk!

February includes these special performances and activities:

6 - 9 p.m.: Live music by Halfway Hippie on the Square.

7 p.m.: Contemporary Dance performance by West Port High School MCCA Dance Program on the downtown square.

8 p.m.: Hip Hop performance by Xtraordinary Rising Talent on the downtown square.

6-9:00 p.m. Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Karate America Ocala - ATA, Animis Foundation, the Marion County Public Library System - FL and the Discovery Center will provide free, hands-on art activities for all ages on the square.

Experience an exclusive sneak peak preview of the 10 new sculptures displayed at Tuscawilla Park!

The Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition received 117 entries from across 21 states and Canada. A selection jury comprised of local community and art organization representatives selected ten sculptures to travel to Tuscawilla Park for a 20-month exhibit. The exhibit will have works made of sandstone, concrete, and a variety of metals and mediums. There will also be elements of movement and light in several sculptures with the inclusion solar power and kinetic motion.

7, 8 p.m.: Modern fusion and gypsy style bellydance with swords, hula hoops, fire props and fire breathing by BellyArtist Studio on the square.

6-9:00 p.m. Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Karate America Ocala - ATA, Animis Foundation and the Discovery Center will provide free, hands-on art activities for all ages on the square.

TEXTÜR Hair Studio will be doing a hair and makeup demo creating a live version of Tinkerbell in the window of Ocala Homes and Farms Realty, 108 E Fort King St.
