The First Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Ocala Friday, May 4th from 6 to 9 p.m. Art Walk is a FREE event and takes (See more) place the Friday of each month from September through May. Located within Ocala’s historic downtown, event festivities include artist displays, live entertainment, free family art activities and extended shopping hours. #shoplocal

MAY includes these special performances and activities;

6 - 9 p.m.: Live music by Jeff and the Jarretts on the main gazebo stage. This singer-songwriter was named "2017 Best Local Musician" by Ocala Magazine.

7 p.m.: Hip-hop performance by Xtraordinary Rising Talent

8 p.m.: Belly-dancing performance by The Cairo Dancers

6 - 9 p.m. Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Karate America Ocala, Animis Foundation, Marion County Public Library System - FL, Discovery Center and Gulf Archaeology Research Institute will provide free, hands-on art activities for ALL ages on the square.

Additional art activities will be provided at Ocala Homes and Farms Realty, 108 E Fort King St.

Local artists will be working throughout the event creating works of art, live portrait art on-site, live caricatures, flow artists and local musicians will be playing with in the Art Walk!

This is the LAST Art Walk of the current 2017-18 season, so don't miss it! The First Friday Art Walk will return in September 2018 for the new season. Stay tuned!

APRIL includes these special performances and activities;

7 - 9 p.m.: Live music by vintage songstress Miranda MADison. Enjoy classic jazz & blues renditions, as well as current songs with a vintage twist on the gazebo stage.

6 - 9 p.m. Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Karate America Ocala - ATA, Animis Foundation, Marion County Public Library System - FL, Discovery Center and West Port High School Art Club will provide free, hands-on art activities for ALL ages on the square. Stop by the Hospice of Marion County, Inc. booth and write your own "Before I Die..." quote!

Enjoy the Mayor's Welcome Home Celebration for the Ocala Olympians on the square from 6 - 7pm and the BeYou! event raising awareness for children's mental health at Citizens' Circle from 5:30 - 9pm. It should be a fun night out in Downtown Ocala!
