ACOUSTIC CONCERTS

Legends Senior Living operates residential communities in Florida, and now has a new facility in Ocala called the Windsor of Ocala. You may have seen “Rana” on the grounds on SE 18th Avenue. As part of its commitment to the communities it serves, Legends promotes the arts by providing an arts weekend each spring.
Marti Roberson, director, is coordinating a weekend to benefit the Marion Cultural Alliance on April 30th – May 2nd.

Imagine all the existing art coming off the walls, and your art on exhibit for sale. This juried exhibit is an opportunity to show your work and meet the public on Sat. and Sunday. If you wish to demonstrate as well, you may do so on the grounds and courtyard. A VIP reception will be held to introduce the participating artists on Friday
evening. Art will be accepted on Thurs., April 29th.

In addition to art on the walls and demonstrations, music and the culinary arts will be featured as well. This will be a festive, first time event that is one more way to promote the role of art in the community, and we are happy to have the support of Legends
Senior Living.

We encourage your participation in the 1st Annual Legendary Artistic Experience hosted by Legends Senior Living. All proceeds from the event will be designated for a 2010 MCA Cultural Grant.
Minimum $20.00 donation to MCA Cultural Grants Program required to exhibit up to (5) pieces. Not including demonstration. 10% of sales go to the MCA Cultural Grant Program.

2010 “Next Generation Art Show & Sale” Entry Form

Marion Cultural Alliance at Brick City Center for the Arts

Awards: Cash awards for Best of Show, 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd places and Honorable Mentions.

Eligibility: Entrant must be an art student enrolled in a college/university

Terms: All 2D & 3D media accepted: oil, acrylic, watercolor or comparable media; mixed media, photography, digital art, any graphic designs and sculptures, etc. All art work must be either framed or ready to be displayed. NO saw tooth hangers, or triangular hooks, framing wire will only be accepted for hanging, if not it will be rejected. 2D work maximum size is 40-46”, including frame. A limited number of pedestals are available for 3D work.

All work must have index card size label attached to the back of work with: Artist Name, Title, and Medium & Price.

No installations.

Fees: A $10 registration fee provided exhibit for one piece, or $15 up to three pieces. A 20% commission to MCA will be applied to pieces sold. Checks will be paid at the end of the show.

Application is due by January 29^th, 2009. Payment may be made at drop-off.
